It’s too bad that this week’s weather is going to be rain, rain, rain…I was looking forward to using some of that free time to start walking again. My dad and I took a few walks together on Thursday and Friday. He needed the exercise, and I had to run a few errands (delivering mail, collecting my paycheck…that sort of thing), so it worked out in both our favors. Hopefully, next week will be a little bit brighter. Until then, I’ve still got Wii Fit Plus to keep me company.
I’ve decided to start keeping a fitness journal for the days that I’ve worked out…I’ve been seriously slacking on that from, especially since we went on vacation. I was at 192 lbs. when I returned, and now I’m down to about 187 again. I hope that by next week I can hit 185 and/or get rid of a little bit of some of this belly fat. I’m not looking to become “Muscle Magazine”-model buff…that would require lots of time at the gym and plenty of protein shakes and other performance enhancers, neither of which I have access to at the moment. For now, I’ll just settle for “fit enough to make it to my 40s without suffering from a debilitating heart condition”, and if that means I have to dance around on my Wii Balance Board every work day and lay off the Doritos, then so be it.
