The Sims 3′s Pets expansion came out last night, and it looks like some of the more serious bugs have been squashed (mainly, the Photography bug that caused the entire world to freeze in place, and that other bug that sent your mood south after your full-night’s rest Moodlet wore off). I also like the fact that you can control your pets’ actions, instead of them acting on their own like in The Sims 2. Now I can make my very own “Crazy Cat Lady” scenario…or perhaps become a champion jockey. Hmm…
Also, Dungeon Defenders came out today. I’d been waiting for this tower-defense-action-RPG to come out since last year, and was getting frustrated ever since my Impulse pre-order was cancelled when GameStop bought the service out. I think I got a better pre-order bonus out of the deal, though (even if the price had jumped up from $10 to $15 in the interim) – by buying the game from Steam early, I saved 10% on the purchase price AND got a Portal Gun (a weapon for the Huntress class) and four Team Fortress 2-based familiars. I probably won’t get to use any of them until I’ve leveled up significantly in the campaign, though.
