Trophy Guide
version 1.0 – 7/2/2012
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Keep Your Cool (Bronze)
Description: Win a fight without reaching 150% on the heat gauge in Arcade Mode.
How to Do It: Try to limit how much you dash during a match, as dashing builds Heat very quickly. Once you finish the battle, this trophy will unlock.
Like a Drum (Bronze)
Description: Land a 30 hit combo or higher in Arcade Mode.
How to Do It: Use a character with multi-hit attacks to build up a big enough combo to earn this trophy (Saki and Nanako are good candidates).
Float Like a Butterfly (Bronze)
Description: Win a fight without taking damage in Arcade Mode.
How to Do It: This can be done on any difficulty. Your best chance to earn this is against Saki (usually the first opponent) on Easy with a character with decent long-range attacks. Keep your distance throughout the entire battle, and avoid using melee attacks.
Time’s Up (Bronze)
Description: Win 5 matches in Normal or Hard Arcade Mode with 50 seconds or more left.
How to Do It: The key to getting this trophy is to manage your Heat level, which increases damage given and damage received. Learn how and when to dodge to build Heat and keep yourself out of harm’s way.
On the Tale End (Silver)
Description: Complete both story modes on Normal or Hard difficulty
How to Do It: Aside from Arcade mode, there are two separate story modes: Falling Wonder and Pudding Deity. Clear each of them to earn the trophy (continues are allowed).
Ode to Joystick (Silver)
Description: Complete Hard Standard Arcade Mode.
How to Do It: Self-explanatory: finish Arcade mode on Hard difficulty to earn this trophy (continues are allowed).
What’s Your Story? (Gold)
Description: Unlock all character story lines on any difficulty.
How to Do It: To unlock each character’s story, you must finish Arcade mode with that character without using continues (any difficulty is fine). The Prologue is unlocked at the beginning of the game (under the “extra story” option in the main menu), and every character except Hime has an extra story – her slot is reserved for the hidden boss character, Sora.
To unlock Sora, you must first unlock Hime as a playable character by defeating her on the Moonlight level (have an average rank of A through the first five stages without using continues; otherwise, you’ll face Hime on the Hall level) in Arcade mode. Once she is unlocked, play through the game on Normal or Hard arcade mode and do the same thing in order to fight Sora and unlock her as a playable character.
The following are character-specific Bronze trophies, where all you have to do is beat the specified character in Arcade Mode on Normal or Hard difficulty. There are no mirror matches in Arcade Mode, so in order to get Suguri’s trophy, you need to play through Arcade mode as one of the other characters, and then defeat her where you would normally fight the character you’re playing with (example: playing as Saki will draw Suguri in the first round, Iru fights Suguri in the second round, etc.)
- There Can Only Be One (Suguri)
- You’re Cooked (Saki)
- Pew Pew, Iru Iru (Iru)
- Napoleon Complex (Nanako)
- Burning Up on Re-Entry (Kae)
- You’d Better Ice That (Kyoko)
- Dancing Days (Hime)
