Here’s my third achievement guide, this one for Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown.  This game is available through both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, but it seems that the point values for each of the achievements between platforms is wildly different – some Silvers and Golds on PSN are only worth 20 points on XBLA, and a few Bronzes are worth 40 and 60. Could this simply be a reflection of the difference in priorities between PSN and XBLA gamers? Eh…it probably doesn’t matter – either way, it’s almost stupidly easy to get a full 100% (or 400 Gamerscore points), leaving the more dedicated players enough time to concentrate on raising their ranks on the online leaderboard (as of this posting, I’m ranked 6th kyu – still near the bottom of the food chain, but plenty of room for growth, since I’ve actually won a few matches in this one).
