I survived Cherry Tree High Comedy Club

…and all I got was this ending image:

Okay, I shouldn’t say it’s “totally over”, because that image only shows five of the eight possible members of the game’s eponymous comedy club. I spent about three hours total trying to get (image: left to right) Cindy, Sara and May to join, and only managed to get the three people I needed at the last possible moment.

On the bright side, I do get a New Game+ option that lets me keep my conversational skills and knowledge of who likes what topic, so I should have an easier time trying to get the other three guys to join, for an even better ending.

I was surprised to learn that CTHCC was built using RPG Maker XP. Nyu-Media (the publisher) wants to get it released on Steam – it’s already available via GamersGate and the main website – but I’m not too sure how that would work out. Still, it’s a good game for a good price at $7.99, so go grab it.
