I feel kinda bad for not quite getting into Rhythm Heaven when it first came out on the Nintendo DS, but the music (most of which I’ve caught through “perfect” video plays on YouTube) is pretty damn cool. Rhythm Heaven Fever, the Wii sequel, has a somewhat simpler control scheme (only the A and B buttons on the Wii remote, as opposed to the tap-hold-flick mechanic on the DS), but the games feel a little more intense. I finished the game and got a medal on every stage, so I now have to try to work toward getting Perfects to unlock the songs, which isn’t quite as demanding as it sounds unless you’re playing the remixes – which tend to flip between games very frequently, WarioWare-style. There are two-player versions of some of the games on there, but I don’t know whether or not they unlock anything if you manage to score well on them. I guess I’ll have to find out for myself (and possibly even by myself, unless I can get my sister to join in).
Here on my thoughts about some of the games in this collection:
- Easiest Game: Hole in One (duh)
- Hardest Game: Love Rap
- Most Fun Game: Flipper Flop (the one with the seals)
- Favorite Music (Non-Remix): Ringside
- Favorite Music (Remix): Remix 10
